biography

Born and raised in England before moving to the Czech Republic for higher educational training. As a self-taught photographer and formally qualified artist, he conducts professional freelance work for numerous clients (Bestival, Egg, Leefest, Metro, Ninja Tune, Tonteria, XOYO), and specialises in covering live events featuring popular musicians (ASIWYFA, The Chemical Brothers, Everything Everything, Future Islands, The Jackson 5, Skrillex, Wheatus, Years & Years).

education

Interned as a curatorial director under Polish sonic artist, Simon Tyszko, and worked at their London studio for five years. Later achieved his Foundation Diploma of 'Art and Design' and Higher National Diploma in 'Fine Art' at Prague College. Since completing a Bachelor's Degree of 'Fine Art Experimental Media' at Teesside University, he is currently working on various collaborative projects in Prague.

practise

Mainly influenced by Surrealist photographers and Abstract Expressionist painters, taking inspiration from Post-Conceptual theory. Whilst employing traditional art techniques (paint, sculpture), he creates installations that manifest specific ideas via contemporary media (digital video, computer graphics, 3d animation). Often emphasises a methodical research-based procedure that guides production, and demonstrates his outcome through execution of the final art object.
